Call for Proposals: CACV Downtown Eastside Community Arts Fund Program 2014/2015

Once again the CACV is accepting applications for collaborative community arts projects from Downtown Eastside organizations. You will find the application, a brief guide to the application, budget template, and detailed project guidelines below. Please read all guidelines carefully.

Who Can Apply?

Proposals are invited from:

1.     Downtown Eastside groups and organizations (boundaries: Waterfront to Terminal, Clarke to Cambie).

2.     Organization(s) working collaboratively with an artist. Applicants are encouraged to also work collaboratively with other organizations.

3.     While the project must be a community-engaged arts project, the organizations do not need to be primarily arts organizations.

4.     The lead organization must be incorporated as a society in good standing with the Province of British Columbia and have operated as an incorporated society for at least one fiscal year prior to the application date.

Exclusions

1.     Individuals are not eligible to apply for funding.

2.     On-going programs are not eligible for funding.

3.     Capital expenditures, fundraising projects and organizational operating expenses are not eligible.

Grant-Writing Workshops

Applicants are encouraged to register in advance for one of three grant-writing workshops being offered by the CACV. Workshops are three hours long and will cover all aspects of writing a strong proposal for our program, including developing a good budget. These workshops will be fun, informative and interactive, and will help you to write the best grant possible – don’t miss them!  Facilitator: Kelty McKerracher

Tuesday February 25, 2pm – 5pm
W2 Meeting Room, 2nd Floor Woodwards Building

Saturday March 15 12pm – 3pm
W2 Meeting Room, 2nd Floor Woodwards Building
