Louise Towell says: Best Fishes to You!

Stream of Dreams: Joan Carne & Louise Towell co founders of a Stream of Dreams Mural Society were a 2009 Arts and Healing Network Awardee http://awe.sm/5XiDV And they don't even know who nominated them. Hallowe’en

Hallowe'en Spider Webs from Grapevine and crocheted morning glory ("bindweed"). I've placed them on the rose trellis, after pruning the rose. Hoping they'll attract some interest from people, cats or spiders. Crows would come if a placed a treat there I'm sure. More photos will be posted when the spiders arrive. Eco-Arts Meets Green Streets

Friends of Community Arts Council cleaned up in the "Most Creative or Unique Garden" category for the City's annual Green Streets Awards. Chloe Bennett and Ella Cooper both were awarded. Rita Wong and the Poetics of Water

Rita Wong is the author of sybil unrest (Line Books, 2008, with Larissa Lai), forage (Nightwood, short-listed for the Asian American Literary Award for Poetry in 2008), and monkeypuzzle (Press Gang, 1998). Wong's book, forage, won the 2011 Canada Reads Poetry competition.  She is currently researching the poetics of water and teaches in the faculty of Culture and Community at Emily Carr University …
