The fourth annual SWITCH! paid tribute to the memory of Yulanda Faris who co-founded the event along with John Montalbano, and whose philanthropic activity made a tremendous impact in the arts throughout Vancouver.
The sold out event at The Imperial featured a silent auction with visual art from local residents and a live auction hosted by David C. Jones. An array of talented performing artists hit the stage including Stephen Lytton, Luc Faris, Jillian Christmas, Chelsea D.E. Johnson, Twin Bandit, St. James Music Academy, The Rossi Gang, and Barney Bentall.
The funds raised at SWITCH! support the Community Arts Fund, which bolsters the activities of the DTES Community Arts Fund Program.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and to all the volunteers and artists who made the show possible. It was the most successful SWITCH! event to date in terms of funds raised, and certainly one of the most moving shows.
