Storytellers – Telling the stories of community arts in Vancouver

May 24, 2012 by CACV Admin

With the mentorship of Megan Sheldon, board representative to the Communications Committee, we’ve begun a community arts storytellers group.

There are two projects underway right now:

We plan to follow the mobile art cart around the city for the coming year.

The Memory and Movement project interviews past board members of the Community Arts Council of Vancouver. We’ve done three and hope to do the next one over the summer. Stay tuned.

As well, volunteers involved in our storytelling group plan to visit community arts events and hear, tell and document stories. Next up, they’ll be stopping by our table at the South Hill Street Fair this Saturday, May 26. Contact megan@cacv.ca if you’d like to connect further.

The group meets at the monthly Communications Committee meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 7-8pm.
