Call for Artists: The Debridement Project, Beach Debris and Art

Community Arts Vancouver and the Vancouver Maritime Museum are pleased to partner in announcing the first phase of a project aimed at developing awareness and understanding about maritime pollution through education and artistic expression.

Floating Artist installations on the theme of marine debris:

We are looking for up to 2 Artists interested in installing floating art work in the Vancouver Maritime Museum Marina space during February to March.

Please submit up to 5 images or descriptions of the work by November 30, 2012. CARFAC rate will apply.

Maritime debris art making workshop

We are looking for up to 2 artists interested in facilitating 2 to 3 half-day workshops in February with children and adults transforming debris into art that could be hung from a net.
Please submit a paragraph describing previous related experience by November 30th. CARFAC rate will apply. ($257/workshop)
