Art Exhibit

May 23, 2013 by CACV Admin

How is your spring going?  Lovely weather, sunshine, cool breezes.  We are, so, so lucky to be feeling the effects of global warning.

Who has heard the doggrel,

‘Spring has sprung

The grass is riz

I wonder where

The birdies iz”

Ogden Nash, I believe.  The full piece is on the net, if you are interested.

Enough of this levity.

On the 5th April 2013, some of the  recipients of Vancouver Foundation’s Small Art Grant held an opening of the work at the Carnegie Community Center.  Unfortunately, due to the endemic procrastination of your correspondent, the show has now been taken down.  Sorry.

There is another opening on 29th May 2013 at the Cultch, 6 pm sounds about right.   604 251 1363, or online for more information.  I have sewing class on that day, too bad for me; but after four to five hours on my pegs………….  Or I would definitely go.  The |Smart Grant shows are guaranteed to have great art, music, food – and a chance to meet some of the artists of the Downtown Eastside, an extremely talented group.

I am just grooving to Notting Hillbillies.  Will you miss me when I”m gone ………http:// http://tinyurl.com/q8rotht

Stay cool,

Karenza
