Announcing the Debridement Project!

January 14, 2013 by CACV Admin

Community Arts Vancouver and the Vancouver Maritime Museum are pleased to partner in announcing the first phase of a project aimed at developing awareness and understanding about maritime pollution through education and artistic expression.

The project is moving along and we are excited. We are engaged with a fantastic partner in the Vancouver Maritime Museum. Global research and outreach expedition to protect the world’s oceans, Oceangybe, will help us engage with school children at Henry Hudson Elementary.

We look forward to the kids and their families and friends participating in creative workshops in late January-early February, leading up to celebration of an artist’s installation in the Maritime Museum harbour on Monday, February 11, 2013, British Columbia’s very first Family Day!

We are thrilled to work with participating artists Fae Logie and Tiki Mulvihil, and Ron Simmer.

Workshop facilitators are Kay Slater and Tahina Awan.

Please join us as we explore the important issues of the health of the world’s oceans and our local waters.

Come learn and play. Have some fun. Keep checking cacv.ca for further information. Click the tag “debridement”
