Some Assembly/ Roundhouse Youth Theatre Action Group Project – Nov 26

November 11, 2011 by CACV Admin

Some Assembly Arts Society @ cacv.ca/future Nov. 26 12-3pm @ Woodward’s Atrium

Join us and experience a theatre workshop based on what we do in the Roundhouse Youth Theatre Action Group Project (RHY-TAG). Participate in some hilarious improv games and a spontaneous collaborative theatre creation. Learn how theatre is used as an artistic tool to help people perform what is important to them. We use theatre to inspire confidence, dialogue, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, decision-making and most of all creativity.

This year’s RHY-TAG project is now underway with a talented group of youth writers, actors and designers. Watch for this new and original play being presented during BC Youth Week May 2 – 5, 2012 at the Roundhouse. Be in our audience or if you’d like to participate in the project email us at info@someassembly.ca

RHY-TAG:

Builds community and engages diverse populations of youth and the community at large using theatre to inspire awareness and discussion of youth ideas, issues and concerns. Since 2002, this project engages youth with professional theatre artists in the collaborative creation and performance of new plays for public audiences every year. The project was awarded the City of Vancouver Youth Award for outstanding contribution to the youth community. RHY-TAG is a Roundhouse Artist Residency with Some Assembly Theatre Artists: Valerie Methot, Ken Lawson, Chandra Lesmeister and Jeremy Baxter.
