Do you believe in the power of the arts in creating possibility for individuals and communities?
Do you believe in an inclusive, socially-engaged, vibrant city alive with community arts?
Community Arts Council of Vancouver does. Since 1946 when a determined group of women formed North America’s first arts council, CACV has helped weave the cultural fabric of this city. In the 21st century our focus in on democratizing the arts as creative action available to all, joyful work that can shape our city for the better.
Are you a community-engaged or social change or outsider or eco-artist with a wealth of experience ready to advance the field? Are you a social innovator or arts educator? A business owner who walks the talk of community? A connector who loves to build relationships? Or someone with nonprofit, facilitation, or leadership experience looking for a new venue to contribute and learn?
Our Board of Directors could be a place where your particular gifts encourage the art of community in Vancouver across all 22 neighborhoods. CACV is committed to fulfilling its mission with increasing diversity, equity, and accessibility.
