Thanks for this. It's good to know that our colleagues in the CACs are prepared to speak out about the disastrous cultural policy choices being made by the B.C. government.

Excellent letter, Michael. I especially like the call for a review of the BC Arts Council and, with any luck, a clarification of Council's mandate.
We have an interesting discussion going on the AABC website as well:

Cheers,
Tom

I would very much like to volunteer in this position. I am currently working full time as a community Settlement worker, therefore I have a very good understanding of the community needs and community engagement. I am also a Painter and art teacher, I have a personal practice and have exhibit my art work in Vancouver, Toronto, Nicaragua, Spain and Mexico.

Hello,
I attended this swell little TEA on Sunday and it was one of the most pleasant things I have ever participated in, in my community. Miss Jody and help were marvelous, the 'easy up' with lace canopy was charming, the herbal teas most delicious as were the little sandwiches, canopies and sweets, even the napkins were recyclable, and tea cups served from the silver set... it was perfect. The tour of the sunflower garden was informing and fascinating. I am really thankful for the gardens alone as I go to the park daily and have watched it grow and grow and have seen how creative the artists are with the willow and hazel switches. The whole thing gives me great pleasure and lets me know we do have a community, Thank you all so very much! I did not notice where I could make a small coin contribution... I am sure people would be happy to pay what they can for the supplies etc. to make a small contribution to this Big idea. Best DN
