The Community Arts Council of Vancouver, the first arts council in North America, had its annual general meeting November 27. Approximately 60 people came to learn about our various projects, members and donors. Several people offered to get involved with CACV.

Amir Alibhai Recently retired from the Roundhouse after 11 years, Amir has been an outstanding advocate for community arts, and has served on the Canada Council for the Arts. He has been a practicing multi-disciplinary artist for twenty years.

Community Walls/Community Voices – A collaborative mosaic project located on Commercial Drive, Vancouver 2003-04
Richard Tetrault is a visual artist living in Strathcona who has an active studio and community art practice. In 2008 he was awarded the Vancouver Mayor’s Award for Community Art.
